REAL FOOD

Big news, Jack had his first taste of solid food today, 16th March 2007. He had 5 little spoonfuls of yummy mashed banana and was very impressed! He is now 5 months old and weighs a hefty 18lb 2ozs !!!!!!!!!

Growing up

As you can see it won't be long before Jack is on the move!! He now weighs in at a stunning 17lb 2oz and is growing hair at last which is blonde on the sides and dark on top!

He has also learned to squeal and will happily do this for most of his waking hours!!!!!!

Jack loves to sleep

4 months old

Well at 4 months old Jack is now sleeping in his own bed, he still gets mummy up in the night sometimes for a quick cuddle but mostly sleeps from around midnight till 7am which is a REALLY BIG DEAL!!!!!!

3 months old today

Well as you can see Jack has grown some and now weighs in at just over 12lb and is doing really well. He slept through the night for the first time yesterday (well midnight to 6am is good enough for us!!!!) He loves to chat and is particularly fond of Mummy and Daddy's singing and often joins in. He still sleeps in with us during the night, but sleeps in his own room during the day like a big boy. He certainly has become a happy handsome little man (hey we are biased).

Father Christmas found Jack's stocking and filled it to overflowing, he even woke Jack up for a cuddle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 months old

Well after a very difficult month with Jack and his feeding habits we have finally decided that it is time to switch to formula feeds. Jack still only weighs 8lb 10oz which just isn't enough for an 8 week old baby that was 7lb 13 oz at birth!!! Mummy is still going to try and give expressed breast milk. Jack also had his first jabs this week which weren't very nice, so all in all it is not suprising that he isn't smiling but still looks very cute in this photo!

Guess who is a month old?

Well we can't quite believe it a month has gone already. Jack has taken a while to figure out how to get his milk from Mummy and also definitely doesn't like it when he has wind in his tummy which all in all has lead to a very long first month for us all, however as you see from this picture he is a very happy content little boy now and finally regained his birth weight at 4 weeks exactly.
Today (5 weeks old tomorrow) he weighs 8lb 1 oz so is slowly getting there and is doing very well.

Jack's First Week

What a busy week, Jack's first outing to the park with Mummy and Daddy and then a trip to see his Great Grandma and only a week old!

INTRODUCING Jack Christopher Michael Brown

Finally 10 days late. Our little hero arrived. After only 7 hours of labour, Jack was born on lucky Friday 13th October 2006 at 10:08am.
Weighing in at 7lb 13oz he arrived at home as planned, spontaneously weeing and pooing all over the midwife and mummy as he arrived!!!!!

39 weeks

Well safe to say there is definitely a baby in there and boy is it ready to come out!! Head fully engaged, facing the right way. Birthing pool is ready to be inflated, hypnosis sessions in full swing as of today (sunday) 2 days to D day somehow though I think we may have a little bit of time to wait yet don't ask me how I know, call it a feeling!!! I reckon we will be in action around the 12th......

37 and a half weeks

Got to the tent wearing stage now!! Am still working full time and feeling pretty good actually. Mini doesn't seem to want to make up it's mind whether to come out facing forwards or backwards so I seem to be spending a lot of time on my hands and knees encouraging the latter!!! Only 2 and a half weeks to D day..............
